Dear Computer Lady,

While using Spell-check in Outlook Express email, I accidentally hit ADD when I wanted to CHANGE. Now the program accepts to misspelled words as correct. How can I correct this?

Thanks, Angie

Dear Angie,

When you click Add, the word is added to your custom dictionary. What you need to do, is remove the word from the custom dictionary. Here is how:

1. To remove words from your Custom Dictionary in Outlook Express, click on "Tools" in the menu bar and then on "Options".

2. In the "Options" window, click on the "Spelling" tab.

3. At the bottom of the spelling page, click on the button that says "Edit Custom Dictionary".

4. You will see a list of words. Find the word that you want to remove, delete it, click "File" and "Save" and then close the window.

5. You will have to close Outlook Express and re-start it for the change to take effect.
