When you delete items by moving them to the Recycle Bin, Windows displays the following message “Are you sure you want to send this file to the Recycle Bin?”

You then have to click "Yes" before your file is deleted. If you don't need this step, you can tell Windows XP to skip this message.

1. Right-click the "Recycle Bin", and then click "Properties".

2. In the "Recycle Bin Properties" window, click to remove the check mark from the section labeled "Display delete confirmation", and then click "OK".

In Windows Vista To Turn of the Delete Confirmation:

1. Right Click on the Recycle Bin

2. Click "Properties"

3. Click on the drive you want to change

4. Click to put a check mark in front of the setting labeled: "Display Delete Confirmation Dialog"

5. Click "OK" to save your changes and close the window.
