Are you tired of waiting for your graphics program to load just so you can view a picture someone sent you in an email?

Today, I am going to tell you about a great program that displays your jpg images fast, and best of all, it is free.

This program is named IrfanView, and I have been using it for years. The author continuously updates the program, and best of all, it is free.

To get this program, head on over to the web site, www.irfanview.com

Here is what you will see when you get there:

Click on the link that says “Download”. This will take you to a page full of download links.

Find the link that will take you to the TUCOWS site, and click.

Now for the tricky part...

You have to look BELOW the advertisements to find the download button

This window will appear.

Click on “Save to save the file on your hard drive.

In the next window (below) select the folder you want to save your file in (Vista has a convenient “Downloads” folder) and then click “Save”

You might have to wait a minute or two depending on the speed of your Internet connection, but when the download is finished, click on the “Run” button.

You will see a security warning window, like the one below, since we already know that IrfanView is a safe program to download, you can go ahead and click on this second “Run” button.
